Youtube and Newgrounds.

Posted by LinkTCOne - May 11th, 2015

I'm trying to synergise Newgrounds and Youtube because I honestly love both sites for different reasons and don't want to Newgrounds to suffer because of all the Youtube  gaming/photoshop content I'm doing which doesnt really translate well to Newgrounds content. SO. Let me know what you'd like to see.

I've uploaded a timelapse of my Youtube Intro sequence on Newgrounds as a kind of tutorial/showcase. Is that stuff you'd like to see more of?

I dunno. You tell me.

just use Newgrounds for animation! that is what it was built for in the first place!

Yeah I'll keep it exclusively for animation stuff, I was just wondering how many people would be interested in behind the scenes/timelapse/tutorial stuff too.

Or whether I should put all those bits on the ole YT and just the main animation here.

Thanks for the feedback!

You could present the behind the scenes material with your actual movies.

I seen flash movies presented in DVD style.

Using the shockwave format instead of video will give you the freedom for creating interactive features.

Present the behind the scenes footage together with your animations.

Ok yeah that sounds like a good idea. Thanks!

Make sure it is fully completed animations, no WIPs or updates. I already don't like them showing speedpaints as animation so stick to what Newgrounds is made for. Don't be like the other people on youtube who just upload garbage that you have to wade around to find good content.

Ok, thanks for the feedback.

Newgrounds is neat for getting it out to the few people not on YouTube, but you have to deal with the roaming anti-thisORthat gangs and artists down voting to win awards.

Mmm, yes the downvoting to win daily and stuff is a big problem. But then again like most things the majority of the community is lovely.
