Next Project!

Posted by LinkTCOne - August 12th, 2015

So Bite-Sized Horror Vol. 1 seemed to do pretty well! No feature/medals this time, but that's fine, I had a great time making it. So much so, in fact, that my next project is going to be a horror animation too! I'm going to aim to get this one finished in time for the Spooktacular!

It's based around another two sentence horror story, however this time I'm going to make it into a fully blown animation - and I'm going to be making it in Photoshop or TVPaint for the first time ever! Which is kind of worrying but I'm sure it'll be fine...maybe.

Anyway here's some preliminary sketches!

Awesome! Can't wait!

It's hard to get a lot of views during the summer months (kids on vacation, summer jobs), add to that, the competition here never seems to let up. Glad you're enjoying your personal projects, I know I am!

Thanks! I'm trying to always have a project on the go this year - I've never had any proper training or classes so I think the best way to improve is to just constantly be working on something.

Glad you're liking my stuff :)

Really, no formal training? You got that yankee spirit mate, cool on you! When I first started in video production in the 20th century, I didn't know squat, but by necessity, I figured out optical effects, camera angles, all kinds of stuff, just by being desperate to make what I saw in my mind.

Thanks bud! I've been to University, but I studied Media Production - basically filmmaking. I've been animating on and off since I was a kid, but only took it seriously when I did a documentary on Real Life Super Heroes in Uni and tried to animate segments of it like a comic book. Haven't looked back since :).

I almost took media production in college, but no one could tell me what the actual curriculum was, so I passed on it. Found out later it was mostly stuff I already worked on like Avid and... that old Adobe editing software, damn it's been a while :( Ever do any commercial video work before?

Plenty of corporate video, interviews stuff like that. I work as a full time Graphic Designer at the moment though, so I'm doing more motion design stuff and less filming at the moment. Some of the films I've made are on my Youtube account.
